Alachua County Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area (CISMA)

Who we are

In recent years, Alachua County has realized the need to organize a cooperative effort to cross property boundaries when addressing invasive species management. The cogon grass initiative of 2007 has created a platform to extend our efforts and include other target species in our area.

We focus on:

• Creating a centralized repository for invasive species information
• Assisting Alachua County residents with identification and management of target species
• Coordinating efforts with other agencies and private partners
