The FY13 Uplands Program Herbicide Bank is now open. Due to funding constraints, the Herbicide Bank continues as a maintenance program for public land managers who have previously received BIPM/IPMS-funded uplands contractual operations. However, we will also accept requests for initial control of Lygodium spp. and cogon grass, only, and will fill these if funding allows. All requests are subject to approval by IPMS. Approved requests will be filled in the order they are received, as funding allows. The attached Annual Summary Report must be submitted for chemicals used in previous fiscal years, before requesting additional chemicals.
Attached to this memo is the pricing sheet for chemicals awarded under ITB FWC 11/12-81, effective through June 30, 2013. Not all products on the "FWC FY13 ITB Chemical Award Price List" are available through the Herbicide Bank (see instead "Herbicide Bank Product List"). ITB FWC 11/12-81 is a statewide agency term contract that covers most common herbicides and some adjuvants. All FWC employees are required to use this contract; other agencies have the option to use it, if they so choose. This is not an alternate source contract (ASC). It may be used by any state agency for "piggybacking" off of our contract only after receiving approval from DMS. However, I am currently working with DMS this year to make this an ASC. If that happens, I will post a notice on FISP. Other public entities may request the vendors to honor FWC's bid prices. Although they are not required to do so, I am not aware of any vendor refusing such a request. Also attached is the ITB bid tabulation, which your purchasing department will probably ask you to attach to your purchase order requisition.
If you are ordering for yourself: The vendor contact information is included at the bottom of the FWC FY13 ITB Chemical Award Price List. All prices are FOB. Check the invoice for sales tax, which will occasionally show up, even though they know better. You may be asked to provide your tax-exempt certificate. Also, be sure to follow the instructions on the container when using any product. The label is the law.
If you are requesting products through the Herbicide Bank: Please note that the FY13 Herbicide Bank Product List is the shortest it has ever been, again due to budget constraints. We are providing only the priority herbicides and bark oil. Fill out a Herbicide Bank Request Form and fax/email it to me. If this is not your first request, and you have not previously submitted a summary use report for prior orders, attach a completed (for each managed area) Herbicide Bank Annual Summary Report to your request.
