Southwest Florida Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area (SW FL CISMA) Exotics Removal Project

April 2011: Brazilian pepper treatment along boundaries of Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuge, Collier-Seminole State Park and Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. 30 volunteers from different agencies, organizations and different companies affiliated with SW FL CISMA worked to re-treat sparse re-growth in this vital, but well travelled corridor in Collier County.

June 2011: planned Collier County python round-up from conservation lands

Summer 2009 - Caloosahatchee National Wildlife Refuge & Caloosahatchee Creeks Preserve Pilot Project:

Volunteers, adjacent landowners, and public land management staff will work together to finish invasive treatments in this critical migratory bird flyway.
