FNAI-FWC Native-Invasive Look-alike Workshop
The Florida Natural Areas Inventory (FNAI), along with FWC, hosted it’s annual Native-Invasive Look-alike workshop at the IFAS North Florida Research and Education Center south of Quincy, FL. FNAI annually hosts two workshops for FWC at two sites within the state for agency employees and other partner agencies within the CISMAs to familiarize themselves with non-native plants in their local area. FNAI’s Padraic Elliott, Kelly Anderson, and Dexter Sowell taught participants plant physiology, identification, data collection in Avenza, some programming, and data analysis in excel. Over 65 people representing different agencies registered for this workshop, setting attendance records and reached capacity within three days of announcement.
