
Chris Marble
Chris Marble is an Associate professor in ornamental and landscape invasive weed management in University of Florida’s Environmental Horticulture Department and stationed at the Mid-Florida Research and Education Center in Apopka. Chris earned his Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. degrees at Auburn University and after graduating in 2013 worked for Syngenta and the University of Tennessee briefly before joining the University of Florida in 2014. His research and extension programs focus on developing effective and economical methods of weed control and invasive plant management in ornamental plant production and landscapes. Current research and extension efforts focus on developing integrated weed management plans for ornamental plants in nurseries, greenhouses, and landscapes focusing on more efficient use of herbicides and understanding how cultural practices impact weed control, in addition to developing management plans for multiple invasive plant species in Florida.
