I am the Invasive Plant Management Coordinator with the St. John’s River Water Management District. I received my bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from Rollins College in 2012. From 2016-2018 I managed the University of Florida’s Plant Community and Ecosystem Ecology Lab with Dr. Luke Flory where I studied cogongrass (Imperata cylindrica) invasions in Florida. Before my time at UF, I was Program Coordinator with the Oakland Nature Preserve, educating school groups and the public about Florida’s ecosystems. During my time as Program Coordinator, I was also an active volunteer with the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey, Saving Florida’s Gopher Tortoises, and Back to Nature Wildlife Refuge.
