About Us!

The Nature Coast Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area was established in 2011 to facilitate a network to address the growing threat of non-native invasive species in Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, and Sumter Counties.

We are composed of biologists, planners, and natural resources managers from local, state, and federal agencies, non-profits, and public utilities, as well as concerned citizens.

We are seeking the involvement of all public and private entities interested in managing invasive species.

The mission of the NCCISMA is to address the threat to native biodiversity, and economic impacts, within the Nature Coast Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area by coordinating and increasing efforts to manage invasive and non-native species across public and private boundaries.
